The two-bedroom apartment we stayed in was centrally located and conveniently close to The Dubai Mall. The unit was spacious, but the furniture felt dated. There was also intermittent noise from sports cars speeding past one of the bedrooms in the middle of the night. The other bedroom had a faint smell of cigarette smoke, and the bathtub was stained with low water pressure. Overall, perhaps we had higher expectations for a property under the Swissotel name.

It was really good, and would recommend the hotel to friends and family due to location. Breakfast selection was amazing with lots of choices. Especially vegetarian. The only minor point, is that the apartment we stayed in. The bathrooms require some maintenance, especially the ventilation aspect. Flush not working properly (however we figured it out to manage in our short stay). The only other aspect was the A/C control in the main space, which was dated and didn't seem to respond to our setting requests. At one point it ended up extremely colder than what we wanted and we couldn't turn it off. I forgot to mention this on checkout as we were in a rush to leave before the road closure for the Dubai Marathon. Overall we loved it, and would come back again. We are aware the hotel is going through a phased refurbishment so look forward to coming back again to see the new look.
