The rooms were fine however we had a room that was quite musty and smelt like it had some water damage. The floors also needed a good vacuum and the beds were very firm with very minimal bedding. Wasn't quite the standard we expect of Accor. Staff were all very lovely, the pool was excellent and breakfast lovely.

Not big issues, but we were in room 1401 and there is a staff elevator beside it - often banging noise in middle of night - like 3am

Perfect location, 5min walk from the St James train station/ light tram stop. Most tourist spots within walkable distance 14-20mins like Circular quay, darling harbour etc. Right next to the shopping spots and good cafe/brunch spots. All staffs were kind and helpful.

Check in staff was lovely. However the issue is with the room. The lack of attention paid to cleaning is appalling considering it is a 5 star hotel. The bathroom wasn’t clean, there was a used tissue under the sink and the bin in the bathroom was sticky and had something on it and it wasn’t even working. There were hairs in the bathtub. The sink drained extremely slowly. The shelf looked old and had stains. The desk was sticky and had marks on it. Worst part. We found a very big and alive cockroach in the area where the glasses and tea are kept. As my kids were sleeping, my husband had to catch it. My husband took it to lobby to show them who at first said they could only compensate us with a free drink voucher and will need to speak to her manager. My husband came back up and did another check around the room just incase and found another cockroach (this time was dead). He went back down and showed the staff member again and she asked the manager to come out. The manager said as we booked through a 3rd party website, we weren’t able to receive a refund or credit and the only thing they could offer was free parking (but we didn’t drive) or breakfast (which they did kindly extended to my friends who were also staying in the hotel). The buffet was average as they were renovating. It shouldn’t matter if the booking was made through a 3rd party website, either way you’re paying to receive the 5 star hotel experience from the hotel not the 3rd party. Even if I was offered to stay there again for free, I wouldn’t
