Swissotel is well located in the middle of Sydney opposite State Theatre & QVB. Rooms are a little tired and check-in was laborious, taking 15 minutes at the counter. Breakfast was ok, fairly well priced and good selection. No parking on site was a pain.

Attended Ten Stories restaurant on Thursday evening and was nearing end of meal with intention to find some staff to complete meal and order dessert. After some time a staff member attended table and advised our waiter was now on a break. In any event ordered dessert however soon after dessert was served the lights were turned up to signal end of service. This type of treatment was unexpected from a five star an ACCOR hotel. Needless to say we choose to eat elsewhere the next evening. Next day (Friday), room was not made up until after 4pm following one request by phone and a further request we made in person at front desk. Again not expected from a five star hotel.

Worst hotel bar I've ever experienced. If you want quick and friendly service, do not visit here. 45 minutes for a watered down drink and no fries that were order, no thanks. Elevators are extremely slow don't seem to all be running at once. Pool was not set up at 730am despite being shown as open from 6am. Room key randomly stopped working on second day even though we didn't change rooms or extend stay. Front reception was not welcoming at all, felt like it was a pain for me to be there checking in at 3pm. Beds were uncomfortable and kept rolling around from the slightest bump, making for an difficult sleep. No extra blankets provided either. No corkscrew in room which is apparently hotel policy for some reason. TV was small and had standard channels but anything else was via Chromecast which was difficult to figure out as the code on the TV was incorrect. Central location, close to most things in Sydney but I would not stay here again if I had a choice.
