I was impressed with the decor and ambience of the hotel, whilst equally pleased with the high quality of service, attention from staff and provision of amenities at the hotel. Combine this with the fantastic location, adjacent to a good mall and within walking distance to a Metro station, as well as its proximity to many corporate head offices in Muraqqabat and this makes Swissotel Al Ghurair a winning option in my book. the hotel has an Executive Lounge for business meetings too, as well as a couple of restaurants on site along with a swimming pool, gym, spa and all other standard amenities. They also run a complimentary bus service to the nearest beach, which was a huge bonus.

I have been a guest at Swissotel Al Ghurair since inception as Rotana and than change over to Swissotel. Over the years service has been detriorating at the hotel. Firstly I must commend Mr Damien as I did the booking with him and he arranged a beautiul room for me and an upgrade as a frequent guest, I have been dealing MR Damien eversince he has been working at the hotel. Check in experience was great. The rooms are in a terrible state, carpets ripping off, the second toilet flush was not working properly, overall room condition was bad. The 1st day I requested for an extra mug as we where 3 guests but never recieved. The night before checking out I called for an extra towel as we where 3 guests and only 2 towels where provided, it arrived an hour later when I was about to check out. I Called also to have the extra bed removed as I needed space for packing but no one came and I removed the bed myself from the room. The Breakfast has gone down, poor lighting, poor selection of item and also tables not cleaned up slow service. Imagine being a 5 star hotel and having a machine making pancakes how average, I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Dubai prior to coming to swissotel and the service in the hotel and breakfast was amazing being the lowest level of Hilton. Being a guest from 2013 and staying 2 to 3 times a year I am considering choosing another property for my next visit to Dubai
