My stay once again felt like returning to a home away from home in Shanghai. Tim and Jason at the reception made it as always welcoming and efficient. A special highlight is the award-winning breakfast. It is simply outstanding. The variety, freshness, and quality are remarkable and the atmosphere at the lounge in the morning sets the perfect tone for a productive day in the city. I would also like to extend a big thank you to the housekeeping team. The room was kept immaculate throughout my stay. Swissotel Grand Shanghai continues to be my preferred address in the city and I look forward to many more stays in the future.

Everything as expected, got early checkin and late checkout. The suite is amazing with nice view. Nice lounge too. However, i dont like the design of removing bath room door it creates zero privacy.

The Executive Suite offers a very generous size; however, the space planning feels more reception-oriented than residential. The living room is disproportionately large with limited practical use, while the bedroom and bathroom areas feel relatively compact for a suite of this size, especially with the double vanity, shower and bathtub concentrated in one area. During my stay, there was continuous municipal road construction directly in front of the hotel. Noise levels were very high, and the operable windows appear to provide limited sound insulation. Although I was informed that construction would stop at midnight 12 a.m., noticeable noise from cleaning and transportation continued until around 2 a.m., which significantly affected rest quality, particularly for families. The Executive Lounge environment is pleasant, but service felt passive and breakfast selection was limited. The swimming pool and hot whirlpool were well maintained and are a highlight. Overall, the hotel has strong fundamentals and a good location, but improvements in noise management, suite layout and lounge service consistency would enhance the experience.

it was a very pleasant stay overall in Swissotel Shanghai, from the check in, breakfast and all the way to the facilities. it was perfect.
