Everything as expected, got early checkin and late checkout. The suite is amazing with nice view. Nice lounge too. However, i dont like the design of removing bath room door it creates zero privacy.

The Executive Suite offers a very generous size; however, the space planning feels more reception-oriented than residential. The living room is disproportionately large with limited practical use, while the bedroom and bathroom areas feel relatively compact for a suite of this size, especially with the double vanity, shower and bathtub concentrated in one area. During my stay, there was continuous municipal road construction directly in front of the hotel. Noise levels were very high, and the operable windows appear to provide limited sound insulation. Although I was informed that construction would stop at midnight 12 a.m., noticeable noise from cleaning and transportation continued until around 2 a.m., which significantly affected rest quality, particularly for families. The Executive Lounge environment is pleasant, but service felt passive and breakfast selection was limited. The swimming pool and hot whirlpool were well maintained and are a highlight. Overall, the hotel has strong fundamentals and a good location, but improvements in noise management, suite layout and lounge service consistency would enhance the experience.

it was a very pleasant stay overall in Swissotel Shanghai, from the check in, breakfast and all the way to the facilities. it was perfect.
